Furniture Today Article: Fusion Designs to celebrate new Las Vegas showroom with ribbon cutting

LAS VEGAS – Indiana-based solid wood furniture manufacturer Fusion Designs will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at Las Vegas Market to celebrate its new showroom in the city. The event will be held at 10:35 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, at space B-670.

During market, the company will exhibit 16 dining groups, six complete bedroom sets, four living room groups and two office collections. The company will also showcase its Essentials collections, which can be customized in a choice of 35 finishes and ships to retailers in 10 days.

“For the first time in Las Vegas, we will really have the ability to make our showroom space our own and we’re planning to make the most of it,” said Marcus Bontrager, president. The company has exhibited in Las Vegas before but not in its own designated showroom.

Also, for the first time, the company will display its furniture in vignettes, which is particularly important for the bedroom category, it said.

“For years now, due to our space limitations, we’ve had to ‘short rail’ the beds in our showroom,” Bontrager said. “While this allows dealers to get a sense of headboard and footboard styles, it’s never ideal because buyers don’t experience the full visual impact of a new bed. We think it’s very important for buyers to be able to really stand back and get the full effect of what they are seeing, just as their customers would in their stores.”
